Warmblood x Thoroughbred Foal for Sale:

THAT FRIDAY SPIRIT:

This charming well grown home-bred filly combines excellent manners with exceptional breeding. She should have a fantastic future in Eventing or Showing.

Out of a stunning thoroughbred mare by Dubai Destination, and sired by the coloured Eventer Free Spirit, frequently ridden by Lucy Wiegersma and registered with both BWBS and SHGB.

Free Spirit (whose offspring are still young but include the popular Working Hunter winner Benjamin Button) is by the famous stallion Jumbo who needs no introduction having had offspring win at Badminton, Burghley and Kentucky. His offspring include Headley Britannia, Avebury and Henry Tankerville.

That Friday Spirit has lovely loose & straight paces, with great presence, great conformation and is likely to reach over 16.2hh.

She has been lightly handled but not spoilt, never bitten or kicked. Friendly, brave and inquisitive nature and loves a good rub on her neck. She would not only be a great competition horse but also a fantastic broodmare.

Friday holds a full SHGB (Stud Book) passport and, of course, has been microchipped.

Available at weaning from December, please phone us to visit.

Serious competition home sought experienced with youngstock. Transport companies can be recommended. Sad sale of this lovely foal.

Blackator Cavalier Handling

Well, we’ve definitely had a busy week to say the least, the B&B has been busy with various different groups of Kayakers and Canoeists keen to get onto the River Dart whilst its high. All keeping an eye on the webcam to show the levels rising as it rains.

Also been handling our little foal who is now six months old, recently named Cavalier,  I intend to show and compete him in Dartmoor Pony classes when he’s a little older and wiser depending on how he matures.

He was rather filthy the other day so I decided to shampoo him with a special horse shampoo, somehow he even stayed clean through the night! Took him a little time to get used to the hose but as you can seee, with a little encouragement he soon got used to the idea. It tends to be a good idea to get ponies used to various different situations when they are young so we gradually introduce washing with the bucket and hosepipe and travelling in a trailer once they have been handled and lead around the yard.
